Principal's Welcome

Hello Oak Meadow and BUMI Families,

At Oak Meadow and BUMI, it is our responsibility to help students develop not only academically but socially, emotionally, and behaviorally as well. When a student struggles in any one of these areas, it often causes them to struggle in the other areas as well. We work to support our Raptors and Pandas through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports which utilizes our various experts on site to support students where needed - academically, socially, emotionally, and/or behaviorally.

Relationships are the foundation for students to have a positive school experience. With this belief, I strive to support the whole school community in building strong, positive relationships. Some ways for families to help build these relationships are to participate in school activities put on by our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), seek volunteer opportunities on site, and participate in various committees.

Families play a large part in the success of our students. Some ways for families to help their children succeed at school are to read communications from teachers and the site, ensure your child attends school consistently and arrives on time, and encourage them to always try their best. I hope we can work as a team to support our Raptors and Pandas.
