Band

The Buckeye Union School District offers Band beginning in 4th and 5th grade.

Required Materials

• Standard of Excellence Book #1 (red book). Make sure to buy the book specific to your child’s instrument. Percussionists need the “Drums & Mallets” book.
• Instrument - I highly suggest renting an instrument, instead of buying it. If you want to purchase an instrument, click HERE for a list of good instrument brands. You can rent an instrument and purchase the book at any of the following locations:
• EDH Music (El Dorado Hills)
• Nicholson’s Music (Folsom)
• The Music Yard (Rocklin)
• Tim’s Music (Carmichael)
• Kline Music (Sacramento)
• SweetWater

Band Schedule

• Beginning Flute: Monday, 12:50pm - 1:20pm
• Beginning Clarinet/Sax: Monday, 1:20pm - 1:50pm.  These groups will combine the 2nd trimester provided we have adequate space: M/F, 12:50pm - 1:20pm
• Beginning Brass (Trumpet/Trombone): Friday, 12:50pm - 1:20pm
• Beginning Percussion: Friday, 1:20pm - 1:50pm.  These groups will combine the 2nd trimester provided we have adequate space: M/F, 1:20pm - 1:50pm
• Intermediate Band (all instruments): Tuesday/Thursday, 12:50pm - 1:20pm

Concert

There will be a concert at the end of the year (date tbd).  We will perform with the Brooks band at Rolling Hills Middle School

Concert Attire

Black pants/skirt/leggings with a white polo or dress shirt  

Ladies can wear a black and/or white dress if they choose

Gentleman can wear a tie, but it is not required
